Nathaniel (Nat) Smith Announces Campaign for Minnesota Senate District 33
Stillwater, MN, — Today, Nathaniel (Nat) Smith announced his candidacy for Minnesota Senate District 33, which includes Stillwater, Scandia, Forest Lake, Bayport, Mahtomedi, Dellwood, and surrounding communities.
As an attorney, Nat has focused his career on fighting against fraud, waste, and abuse, and for the rights of individuals, representing whistleblowers and defending employee rights nationwide. He has honed his skills in analyzing policies and statutes, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation. He is motivated to bring that experience to bear for Minnesotans to ensure taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and efficiently, and state policies are meaningful and effective. As a newcomer to the political scene, Nat’s professional experience and fresh perspective will bring a new generation of leadership on behalf of his community and Minnesota.
“A long-time Minnesotan, my wife and I love this community, quickly learning how special it truly is,” said Nat Smith. “It is a community that understands the importance of engaged representation by our policymakers. I have heard the concerns of voters regarding fraud, cuts to healthcare, and the continued rise in the cost of living; it’s wrong that the elite cash in on the work of the rest of us, and we shoulder the tax-burdens. It’s time for a change. In the coming weeks and months, I look forward to continuing to meet with voters, hear their concerns, and discuss with them how, together, we can tackle the most pressing challenges they are facing. I hope you’ll join me in seeking a brighter future for Minnesota. I’m running for our future—and I’m running to win.”
Nat shares the same hopes and values that matter to our community—great schools where our children feel safe and can learn and thrive, the creation of new jobs to better our economy, affordable healthcare that’s there when it’s needed, safe neighborhoods where we can raise our families and live our lives without worry, and a fiscally responsible government free from wasteful spending.
